Alison Doody
Alison Doody is an Irish actress and model. She was born on 11th November, 1966. After making her film debut with a tiny part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she went on to portray the an archaeologist who is sympathetic to Nazis, Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan Doovan portrayed Charlotte in Taffin in 1988, and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody was a model after she was approached. The result was that it turned out to be a profitable career. Doody strictly avoided fashion, thongs and glamour when she was modeling. When she was dragged into the sights to the director of casting for the upcoming James Bond film she accepted an unimportant role as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was listed as one of the 12 most promising new Actors of 1986 by John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody was 18 years old when she played Doody's role in Bond She was still the youngest Bond girl until today. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke also had a part for Doody as IRA Siobhan. Doody had a non-speaking role in the 1987 version of The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in his dream. She was Sapsorrow in the Jim Henson's fantasy show The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress acted alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before taking probably her most high-profile part ever as Austrian Nazi-sympathiser and archaeologist the Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as a co-star with Harrison Ford. Doody was in the film with Sean Connery in the film and played the role of her father in the film. In 1991 Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the published fraud known as The Hitler Diaries. Doody then relocated to Hollywood. The choice was made to replace Cybill Shepherd as spokesperson for L'Oreal she went on to appear alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery his girlfriend and agent. Doody was a part of The 2002 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine was her character in a celebration in recognition of an award. The year 2004, she was in the film in a scene with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Also, she appeared as a character in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. In 2010 Doody played a role on Danny Dyer's feature film The Rapture (2010). Later, she guest-starred in the RTE Medical thriller The Clinic. She was also set to be the star of an adaptation in 2011 of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. She starred in We Still Kill the Old Way, a 2014 film. The film was awarded the Almeria Tierra de Cinema award on November 21, 2018.
