Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix is an Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix demonstrated a talent in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her ability to sprint during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition, she placed within the top two places in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships for the 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003, signed an agreement with Adidas. After that, she went to the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. The following year, Felix earned the first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking an all-time junior world record sprinting 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top three in all of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
