Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix was an Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident from the moment she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her initial attempt, she placed second in the 200 meters race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished high school and signed an official contract to Adidas. In 2004, she was enrolled at her first year at the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place in Athens Greece. She set a Junior World Record by taking 200m in 22.18 seconds. Felix was also the youngest winner of the 200 meter during the World Championships in Helsinki in the year 2005. She won her medal the following year, beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She always finished at the top of the podium in all events.
